Sustainably.io Team

We are a group of researchers from various scientific fields creating synergy in our holistic approach. Our research has been recognized, funded and awarded by leading academic and private institutions such as the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA), Dutch Science Foundation (NWO), Turkish Scientific Foundation (TUBITAK) and European Cost-Action Network (COST).

We are passionate about employing our scientific methodology and passion for detail into our sustainability and IoT solutions.

Burak Can, Founder
Burak works at the University of Luxembourg in the field of economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from Maastricht University. With the support of the Dutch Science Foundation (NWO), he has conducted several research visits including the Harvard Business School, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, University of Graz and Luxembourg University.

His work focuses on market design, collective decision making, rankings, and aggregation. He also managed several programs on the industry-academy cooperation.

Erkan Yönder, Co-Founder

Erkan Yönder, Co-Founder
Erkan Yönder works at Concordia University, Montreal in the fields of finance and real estate. He holds a PhD degree in Finance and Real Estate from Maastricht University and another PhD degree in Economics from METU. He has conducted several research visits including the Center for Real Estate, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and presented his works at leading universities such as MIT, Yale University, the University of Cambridge, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).‚Äč

His research concentrates on real estate finance and corporate finance with an active focus on sustainability in these topics.

Meriç Yücel, Co-Founder
Meriç is a computer engineer specialized in robotics, signal processing and learning algorithms. He holds BS and MS degrees in computer engineering from Istanbul Technical University.

Meriç is currently working on his PhD dissertation about Self Organised Signal Pattern Encoding by Wavelet Transform Method. He has conducted academic visits including the University of Washington to work on his PhD dissertation. He is also involved in various projects related to machine learning and deep learning.
